JoJo's OC Tournament #3: R1M10 - 'Monster' Vs. Seido Shuto

The Results are in for match 8! The winner is…

Dr. Jekyll and Tsao Xu, with a score of 70 to Flori Dada’s 36
Category Winner Point Totals Comments
Popularity Player Team {31-9} 7-2. A lower turnout than usual for the boss battle, but most of the voters did agree that the boss lost out here.
Quality Player Team {25-16} Reasoning.
JoJolity Player Team {14-11} Reasoning.
There isn’t really much to be said here about the results here. The combined forces of Jaded Justice took popularity home easily, and while the judge panel gave the boss strategy props for being extremely well-written, they just flat-out considered it hard countered by Jekyll and Tsao. Neither team scored particularly well in JoJolity, though, with only one judge even giving either strategy more than four points in that department. If you want to see some scientists fight against the revolution, M9 voting is still active as we speak!
The call from Stand Proud sent several teams on a mad search for strange happenings around snowy areas. Seido Shuto, proud member of the Ultraviolet Underground, was sent to Nepal’s Lobuche Mountain, where rumors of an abandoned scientific base near the peak had been spreading. He landed in Nepal around a week ago, and had made significant progress to the peak. A few days previous, he received a page from [Member of UU, probably either Saxon or Muller] warning him about a potential roadblock, an unmarked Russian boat that had made a suspicious drop-off at a nearby port.
If he was being honest with himself, Seido was wishing for some action, and a chance to put another notch in his rifle, but he had a few days head start and was already only a few hundred meters from the top. No human could make catch up to him at this point, and he resigned himself to getting his next kill some other day.
While the Crimson Chiefs sent their main investigation force to the Alaskan Tundra, and indeed succeeded in learning something for their troubles, Blake Falstaff figured that it wasn’t the cold place, so the team sent another to Nepal. After the recent defeat of two of their most powerful members, many of the normally-driven Ruby Team were hesitant to set off on their own again, but one volunteered. ‘The Monster,’ as he was exclusively known, had come to prefer to work alone anyway.
The Monster was escorted under cover of night to the base of the mountain and left to roam free. The Monster did not need to sleep or rest; so he did not. He climbed without pausing, claw over claw for days straight, making unmatchable progress. The sun set twice, and The Monster could already see the peak.
On a whim, he took a moment to begin drawing a circle in the snow, perhaps simply to make sure he remembered how, and as he looked up from his work he could see something else, too… An interested-looking young man with a sniper rifle pointed at him, clad in a white suit. A gunshot rang through the air, and Monster was lucky to quickly draw a circle in the flames
“Well, now, what have we here..?” Seido mutters to himself, cracking a grin and running his fingers along the side of his rifle. “Talk about something memorable for lucky number 44…”
They both knew that they were after the same thing. And both knew that only one of them could reach it.
Location: An encounter during a climb up the Lobuche mountain in Nepal! The two teams are ~1800 meters up the eastern peak of the mountain, 200 meters from the top! Opponents start 50 meters away from each other, and are in view of the opponents. The temperature is subzero. There are a couple of small flat plateaus nearby, but the mountain is pretty steep! Be safe out there, hikers!
Goal: RETIRE your foe! This guy will be nothing but a pain during your search, so might as well deal with him now! If you can sufficiently undo their progress and kick them far enough down the mountain that you feel confident they won’t be able to catch up, that will also be an alternative condition for victory, but be careful your foes don’t have something sneaky planned…
Team Combatant JoJolity
Crimson Chiefs Monster “Can a monkey stand against a human!? Compared to me, Dio, you are but a monkey, JoJo!!" This man is nothing to a Monster, not even a roadblock! Keep making progress up the mountain constantly - Stay on the move and reach the top of the mountain!
Ultraviolet Underground Seido Shuto “Let me demonstrate to just what heights a human being can rise!” This beast is nothing to a Hunter, not even a roadblock! Keep making progress up the mountain constantly - Stay on the move and reach the top of the mountain!
If you would like to get constant updates on tournament happenings and discuss with the participants, please PM a member of our Judge staff and ask for an invite to the Official Tournament Discord Server!
